There are times words interfere. Times they can’t be translated. When the poem is the image, when the yearning cannot be described, when the clamor of description must be settled by silence.

Such is this Wednesday.  Just a reminder that November is a poem of its own, alternately vivid and gentle as the season disintegrates in grace.

Publication News:

Fjords Review has just published my short comet essay The Smudge Between The Stars, in anticipation of  ISON, a possible “Comet of The Century.” You can read and/or hear it here. It is illustrated with a painting of mine.

I am presently reviewing e-galleys for my book Fat Girl, which will soon be released by Untreed Reads as an ebook. Watch for a giveaway.

Such sumptuous silence! Enjoyed “Smudge…” and am very thankful to know of Fjords–watched “Plan of the City” AMAZING!!! There is SO MUCH creation out there . . . outer space . . . inner space . . . cyber space! Thank you as always for reminding us to enjoy it!

Your words are as sumptuous and beautiful as the season itself… how grateful I am for your poetic eye!

A poetic eye relies on other poetic eyes to read–many thanks, my dear, for yours!

The charms of November are complex. Your vision, in its brevity, is complete. Your photographs capture the golden/blue gray contrast of the shortening November days. My November day begins in beauty.

You have pointed out many a November charm to me and whetted my appreciation for it. Thanks, my friend.

Thanks for sharing this stunning silence! November has so much beauty. It just might be my favorite time of year. And we got to begin the month with a celebratory visit!
